Absentee
and telephone bids are subject to all buying terms and conditions
in addition to the following specific terms and conditions:
Smith Auction Gallery prides itself in the fair treatment of absentee
bidders.
To ensure a pleasant and rewarding experience, please read the following
instructions.
By placing an absentee bid you authorize Smith Auction Gallery to bid
on your behalf.
The item (s) will be purchased at the lowest possible price up to your
maximum bid. This service will be available without a charge, but you
must remit a deposit which should be at least 10% of the market value
of the item(s).
You must give your name, address, and phone number. Also the Lot and
description of items you are interested in, include your maximum bid.
All sales are final. We will contact successful bidders the day following
the auction. However you may contact us by telephone: 401-556-8451.
When placing an absentee bid, we recommend that you contact us by telephone
so that we can provide more information about the item(s) in question
concerning condition etc..
In the event of equivalent absentee bids, preference will be given to
the first recieved.
We accept cash, credit cards and checks.
Phone Bidding
Phone bids are handled by members of Smith Auction Gallery who bid
on your behalf.
The number of phone bidders are limited to the number of telephone lines
we have at our auctions.
If you intend to bid by phone realize that it is
first come first served.
Arrangements to place a Phone Bid must be made four hours in advance
of the auction.
If you leave a phone bid, don't call us we will call you.
P.S. If you leave an Absentee bid or Phone bid and find that you are
able to attend the sale, please notify us.
